Games In & Around Toronto This Month: Matches We're Highly Anticipating

April was an interesting month for Toronto's sports teams.

The month of April flew by in a flash, leaving many sports fans in Toronto feeling as if they missed out on something. Perhaps it was the 4/20 festivities that had everyone feeling too damn high to notice the time passing. Regardless, May is looking promising to be a packed month of sports, with a bunch of events to look forward to. Despite disappointment from the Toronto Raptors' early exit from the playoffs, the Toronto Maple Leafs broke their 19-year playoff series win drought, giving fans hope for a Stanley Cup win. Not to mention, the Jays and Toronto FC kicked off their seasons in April, and with the CFL season set to begin in late May, there is no shortage of sports to get baked and watch.

Maple Leafs VS Florida Panthers

May 12, 7:30pm / May 4, 7:00 PM

Scotiabank Arena

Right now, the Leafs are on fire in the Stanley Cup playoffs. We beat Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round and the city went nuts. Winning the Stanley Cup after 60+ years would be insane and set the city on fire. But we gotta focus on the task at hand, and that's beating the Florida Panthers in the next round. They just took down the best team in the league and many fans were scared of them, but we're ready for the challenge. We got two more home playoff games happening in May at the Air Canada Centre (I'll never get used to calling it the Scotiabank Arena). Game 2 is on May 4th and game 5 is on May 12th. Get ready for some electrifying energy from the city and Leafs fans everywhere. I already know this series is about to be a stressful one, so I went and picked up a bunch of Rosin Heads truffles to snack on through the games.

Toronto FC VS New England Revolution

May 6, 7:30 PM

BMO Field

Toronto FC have started off their season with a struggle, drawing most of their games and only winning 2 out of their first 10 games. But, we got four home games this month to turn things around and finally start winning. Our first game is against New England on May 6th, who've been hot to start the season. Hosting the New York Red Bulls, D.C. United, and Chicago Fire will also be games we're keeping our eyes on.

Toronto Argonauts VS Hamilton Tiger-Cats

May 27 4:00 PM

Tim Hortons Field

Don't forget about the CFL! American football is such a physical sport, so it's gotta have a long offseason for players to rest up. But the wait's almost over 'cause the Toronto Argonauts are hosting the Hamilton Tigers on May 27th. Watching a football game on a nice, sunny day is such a vibe, and it'll be even better with some Mango Haze pre-rolls by Color Cannabis. Trust me, the THC and CBD split is perfect for an outing during the CFL opener.

Toronto Ultra Major V

May 25th-28th

Mattamy Athletic Centre

Last but not least, esports have blown up in recent years. Kids nowadays dream of being esports athletes, and Toronto Ultra Major V is coming back home for a 4-day tournament from May 25th to 28th at the Mattamy Athletic Centre. You can grab a 4-day pass to watch our Toronto Ultra take on their opponents in Call of Duty matchups. It's gonna be sick!
