Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily store operations

• Set monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals and lead store team to accomplish targets

• Build a profitable business by leveraging your business acumen and problem-solving skills. Optimize execution of in-store and online delivery service.

• Understand the current market condition and adapt to sales trends quickly

• Plan and utilize staffing hours to optimize the revenue and cost – labour should aim to hit 20% as a whole

• Strong ability to lead by example and work with staff to deal with any circumstances that may arise in a high volume retail store.

• Optimize execution of in-store and online delivery service

• Promote the first-class customer experience

• Collect feedback from customers and staff to enhance both customer and staff experience

• Ensure daily/weekly/monthly manager checklists duties are completed

• Ensure key business initiatives are offered & fulfilled efficiently for our customers (ex.1 hour delivery)

Daily Store Operational Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate cash reconciliation and maintain reporting (weekly cash reconciliation and weekly deposit).

• Investigate any cash or inventory discrepancies and provide report describing findings to management

• Inventory management includes order purchases, backorders, return and compliance audits. Ensure daily/monthly/yearly inventory audits and reconciliations are completed.

• Ensure all expired/damaged/returned product is logged and disposed of according to regulations

• Maintain store security hardware and compliance protocols according to the AGCO laws and regulations. Oversee access control to ensure storage and information security

• Be responsible for facility maintenance and workers safety standards and troubleshooting as necessary including proper up-keep of the phone, utilities, technology, maintenance, repairs, stock, and supplies.

• Ensure that the sales floor is adequately stocked, well merchandised and clean at all times

• Assist in receiving and ensuring that all wholesale deliveries are compliant and accurate compared to invoices, etc.

• Provide daily correspondence via email and slack with management and with the team members as needed

Human Resources

• Recruit staff and assist with the onboarding process

• Verify, track payroll and report to management

• Ensure all employee files are complete and up-to-date

• Ongoing coaching, training & development of staff as the business continues to evolve and grow

• Develop and execute employee retention strategies

• Serve as a go-to for staff on duty

Experience, Qualifications and Expectations

• Must have at least 1-year experience in Cannabis Retail Management

• Minimum 5 years experience in Retail Store Management

• College Diploma or University Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent

• Willingness and ability to follow the evolving market of cannabis, including market trends and regulations

• AGCO Cannabis Retail Manager License

• CannSell Standard Certificate

• Must pass a Criminal Record Check and Comprehensive Background Check

• Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and execution skills

• Ability to use a POS system and maintain inventory management functions (Cova preferrred)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Applications and knowledge of retail software

• Ability to work a varied, flexible shift schedule that includes opens, closes and weekends. (minimum 1 open & 2 closes weekly).

Kindling Cannabis is looking for a part time key lead! (10-24hrs/week). Our Key Leads are the vibes leader at the hub and mission control for our delivery drivers on the road. Working in partnership with the General Manager, you will be accountable for leading and supervising daily operations and achieving business goals. You will set the tone for by demonstrating expert knowledge, delivering an excellent educational customer experience, driving sales results and uphold regulation compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet customers and check ID for 19+ years of age and for customer name verification

• Create a friendly, education experience delivering to customers on time

• Verify and prepare orders for in-store and delivery

• Mission Control for Drivers delivering orders

• Assist in inventory management

• Daily cleaning for a safe, fresh and appealing environment

Requirements

• 19+ years of age

• 2 years of supervisory experience

• Able to pass a criminal background check

• Valid CannSell Certificate or ability to obtain before start date

• Cannabis knowledge is an asset but willing to learn is a non-negotiable

Job Description

Kindling Cannabis is looking for a few part-time (10-20 hours a week) delivery drivers that have their own vehicle. You will be on standby in the store until a delivery comes in where you would pick, pack and then deliver the order to the customer. You will perform light in-store duties while on standby in store such as cleaning, inventory etc. You will be compensated $16.55 per hour plus commission for each delivery and tips.

• Perform 1 hour on demand delivery from the store to a roughly 10km radius

• Be a wiz in the city when it comes to navigating

• Deliver to nearby areas just outside the downtown area using an app to help navigate multiple deliveries
