Open Streets Windsor 2026: An Infused guide

Open Streets Windsor returns on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free outdoor event temporarily turns selected streets in Windsor’s east end into places to walk, cycle, rollerblade and explore, with community activities along the way.

Choose Your Open Streets Windsor Route

This year’s event has an important change: there are two separate routes rather than one continuous route. Construction has prompted a different layout, so check the current map instead of relying on a previous year’s visit.

Erie Street, Parent Avenue and Ottawa Street

This section follows designated stretches between Howard Avenue and Walker Road, taking in Erie Street, Parent Avenue and Ottawa Street.

Its three activity hubs are Via Italia, Lanspeary Park and Ottawa Street. Choose a starting point that suits your arrival plans and explore from there.

Wyandotte Street East

The second section runs along Wyandotte Street East between Drouillard Road and St. Rose Avenue.

Here, the four activity hubs are Power Hub, Pillette Village, Olde Riverside and Miracle Park.

The map marks construction and no route access through the connecting Walker Road, Richmond Street and Drouillard Road area. Do not assume you can follow an uninterrupted event route between the two sections.

Leave Time for the Activity Hubs

The streets are only part of the experience.

The City’s announced programming includes fitness demonstrations, street games, dance classes, live music, art installations and cultural activities. The idea is to participate, not just walk past everything while checking how many steps you have collected.

Try something unfamiliar. Stop for a performance. Give your group permission to spend longer at a hub than originally planned. A loose itinerary works well when the point is discovering what is happening along the way.

The detailed hub-by-hub lineup is still marked as forthcoming on the City’s activity page, so check for updates before heading out. Specific performers and activity times should not be assumed.

Look Out for the Landmark Stickers

There is also a small souvenir to collect as you explore.

For 2026, participants can collect stamp-style stickers featuring artistic interpretations of Windsor landmarks, with a different design available at each of the seven hubs. Supplies are limited, making an earlier visit worthwhile for anyone hoping to collect them.

Collecting a few is a fun extra. Completing the set does not need to become your group’s unpaid part-time job.
