'CANADIAN LOUD' HIDDEN IN CARS HEADED TO NIGERIA

Nigerian police have discovered 63 kilograms of "Canadian Loud" cannabis hidden in a Toyota Corolla, one of five used cars shipped from Canada. This is part of a wave of illegal importations of high-THC Canadian cannabis, which is described by Nigerian police as an expensive synthetic strain with high THC content. The importation and distribution of Canadian Loud appear to be run by well-resourced and dangerous organized crime groups. Police have arrested two local men linked to previous shipments from Canada and arrested two men in July for arranging the importation of a 40-foot container from Canada. Two Canadians are accused of importing 145 kilograms of cannabis from Montreal. The shipments continue to flow into Lagos, Nigeria, a megacity with a large population. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has not commented on the Canadian connection to Nigeria's drug trade.
