FIRST CANNABIS ADS COMING SOON TO SPOTIFY

Cresco Labs Inc., a Chicago-based marijuana company, has announced that it will become the first cannabis company to launch cannabis advertisements on Spotify, the world's most popular audio streaming subscription service. The campaign will promote Sunnyside, a chain of dispensaries operated by Cresco Labs, and will include 30 second audio and in-app digital banners that drive to the retailer's proprietary e-commerce platform. The ads will be specifically targeted to Spotify listeners and would-be Sunnyside customers in Illinois, where recreational cannabis is legal. Cresco Labs' National Retail President, Cory Rothschild, said the partnership is a step in normalizing cannabis and showcasing the sophistication and quality of marketing that the company has unlocked. The company only advertises in states where cannabis and marketing cannabis products are legal, and tracks success with basic metrics like impressions, completes, discount-code redemptions, and website visits if the podcast mentions Cresco's URL. Cresco Labs, a leading cannabis company, is expanding its portfolio of brands including Cresco, High Supply, FloraCal, Good News, Wonder Wellness Co., Mindy’s, and Remedi. CEO Charlie Bachtell will speak at the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference in Chicago, ATB 2023 Life Sciences Institutional Investor Conference in New York City, and AGP Annual Virtual Cannabis Conference in October. Sunnyside has dispensaries across seven states, including Palm Bay, Florida.
